The Health Ombudsman took immediate registration action by suspending the registration of Deepa Poudel, effective 6 March 2023.

The suspension of registration means that Deepa Poudel is prohibited from practicing as a Registered Nurse for the duration of the suspension.

In accordance with section 62(2) of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 (the Act), the Health Ombudsman’s decision will continue to have effect until:

• the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside
  or
• the Health Ombudsman revokes the suspension imposed on Deepa Poudel’s registration under section 65 of the Act.
