The Health Ombudsman took immediate registration action by imposing conditions on the registration of Ali Eghtesadi Araghi, medical practitioner (MED0000971546), effective 24 December 2018.

The Health Ombudsman then varied the conditions on 7 March 2019, 3 January 2020 and 13 October 2023.

Scope of practice conditions

Conditions imposed on Ali Eghtesadi Araghi’s registration include the requirements the practitioner:

  • must be mentored by another registered medical practitioner in relation to professional boundaries and conduct.
  • must only practise as a registered health practitioner in employment and at practice locations approved by the Health Ombudsman and published on the Office of the Health Ombudsman website.

The Health Ombudsman has approved Ali Eghtesadi Araghi's employment as a medical practitioner at the following practice location/s:

  • Sunshine Coast Family Clinic, Suite 4-5, 70 Nicklin Way, Buddina Qld 4575
  • Australian Wellness and Cosmetic Institute, Suite 4-5, 70 Nicklin Way, Buddina Qld 4575
  • Beachmere Medical Centre, Shop 14/2 James Road, Beachmere Qld 4510

In accordance with section 62(2) of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 (the Act), the Health Ombudsman's decision to take immediate registration action will continue to have effect until the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside or the Health Ombudsman removes the conditions imposed on Ali Eghtesadi Araghi's registration under section 65 of the Act.
