Code of conduct

About the National Code of Conduct for Healthcare Workers (the Queensland Code).

Code of conduct

You must comply with the National Code of Conduct for Healthcare Workers (Queensland) (the Queensland Code) if you are:

  • an unregistered health practitioner
  • a registered health practitioner providing health services unrelated to your registration.

The Queensland Code sets out minimum standards of conduct and practice.

You must also display or make available a copy of the Queensland Code across all practice locations, along with information for clients on how complaints can be made.

Visit the Queensland Health website for more information.

Registered health practitioners

If you are a registered health practitioner providing services related to your registration within Queensland, your practise is regulated by the Office of the Health Ombudsman (OHO) working together with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and the 15 health practitioner National Boards.

This is governed by the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Queensland) (the National Law).
