The Health Ombudsman issued a prohibition order to Ashleigh Beardon on 8 September 2025.

The practitioner is prohibited from providing any health service, paid or otherwise, in a clinical or non-clinical capacity, other than during student placements required and undertaken as part of a Bachelor of Nursing degree, until such time as they obtain registration as a registered health practitioner under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Queensland).

Period of action or order

The prohibition order will continue to have effect until:

  • the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets aside the decision, or
  • the Health Ombudsman decides to revoke the order pursuant to section 90M of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013.
