The practitioner must not practise in any role that requires direct contact with, and responsibility for, patients.

For the avoidance of doubt, this does not prevent the practitioner working in support service roles in a health care setting that may involve brief or minor incidental contact with patients. For example, providing non-patient based support services in a residential aged care facility (e.g. cleaning).
