The Health Ombudsman took immediate registration action by imposing conditions on the registration of Matthew Keith Hartley, effective 26 August 2022.

The Health Ombudsman then varied the immediate registration action by removing the conditions and suspending Matthew Keith Hartley's registration, effective 28 March 2023.

The suspension of registration means that Matthew Keith Hartley is prohibited from practising as a medical practitioner for the duration of the suspension.

In accordance with section 62(2) of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 (the Act), the Health Ombudsman’s decision will continue to have effect until:

  • the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside
    or
  • the Health Ombudsman removes the conditions imposed on Matthew Keith Hartley registration under section 65 of the Act.
