The Health Ombudsman issued a prohibition order to Michael Desmond Lockett on 13 October 2025.

The practitioner is Permanently prohibited from performing any high velocity, low amplitude (HVLA)1 manipulation or any other form of manipulation of the spine or any other joint, paid or otherwise, in a clinical or non-clinical capacity.

Period of action or order

The prohibition order will continue to have effect until:

• the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets aside the decision, or
• the Health Ombudsman decides to revoke the order pursuant to section 90M of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013.
