The Health Ombudsman issued a permanent prohibition order on 12 January 2026, imposing restrictions on the provision of health services provided by Nnabuike Johnson Omeh.

Scope of Practice

The restrictions imposed include the following requirements:

  • The practitioner must not work with or be the sole provider of care to a patient who has high level care needs, or has the requirement for continuous observation, including ‘line of sight observation’ and/or increased visual observations and monitoring.
  • The practitioner must not practise in any role which requires supervision of other practitioners engaged to provide high level patient care, or who are required to undertake continuous observation, including ‘line of sight observation’ and/or increased visual observations and monitoring.
  • The practitioner must not practise outside the hours of 6am to 6pm.

Period of action or order

The prohibition order will continue to have effect until:

  • the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets aside the decision, or
  • the Health Ombudsman decides to revoke the order pursuant to section 90M of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013.
