The Health Ombudsman issued a permanent prohibition order on 12 January 2026, imposing restrictions on the provision of health services provided by Nnabuike Johnson Omeh.

Scope of Practice

The restrictions imposed include the following requirements:

  • The practitioner must not provide health care - whether as a sole provider or in collaboration with others - to any patient who:
    1. Requires high-level care, or
    2. Requires continuous observation, including ‘line of sight’ or increased visual monitoring.
  • The practitioner must not supervise other practitioners who are providing care to patients described in condition 1 above.
  • The practitioner must only practise between the hours of 6am and 6:00pm.

Period of action or order

The prohibition order will continue to have effect until:

  • the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets aside the decision, or
  • the Health Ombudsman decides to revoke the order pursuant to section 90M of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013.
