The Health Ombudsman took immediate registration action by suspending the registration of Yohannes Abate Faris, effective 14 April 2022.
The suspension of registration means that Yohannes Abate Faris is prohibited from practicing as a medical practitioner for the duration of the suspension.

In accordance with section 62(2) of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 (the Act), the Health Ombudsman’s decision will continue to have effect until:

• the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside
  or
• the Health Ombudsman revokes the suspension imposed on Yohannes Abate Faris registration under section 65 of the Act.
